Self-Employed Immigration Options to Canada in 2021

Self Employed Person Class is a unique platform to get a PR in Canada. A foreign national who has the relevant experience and has the desire and ability to be self-employed in Canada is eligible under this program. An applicant must make a significant contribution in Canada to one of the following:

• Cultural activities

• Athletics

The intent of this program is to enrich the Canadian culture and sports.

 

Eligibility

A self employed must meet the following conditions

• A self employed must have relevant experience.

• A self employed must be willing and able to be self-employed in Canada.

• A self employed must meet the program’s selection criteria and

• A self employed must meet the medical, security, and other conditions.

 

Relevant Experience

• An applicant must have participated in a cultural event or athletics event at a world-class level OR an applicant has been a self-employed person in cultural activities or athletics.

• At least two-year of experience with the last 5 years.

Intent and Ability to be Self-Employed in Canada

An applicant under this stream must demonstrate the ability to create his/her own employment opportunity in Canada. There is no minimum investment level requirement in this stream, but financial assets may demonstrate the ability to self employed in Canada. An applicant must have sufficient funds to create employment opportunities for himself/herself and support his/her family members.

An applicant needs to pay application fees which includes;

• Processing Fees

• The Right of Permanent Residence Fees

• A self employed must meet the program’s selection criteria and

• Biometric Fees – The biometrics fee covers the cost of collecting fingerprints and a digital photo.

• Third-Party Fees – Depending on the application a third-party fees may include

o Medical Exam Fees

o Police Certificate Fees

o Language Testing Fees
